TNO (Co-ordinator):
TNO has built extensive experience in the innovation and development of various automotive and cooperative mobility solutions, including technical testing and demonstrations, and possesses a unique mix of knowledge centred on deployment of Intelligent Transportation Systems, sensors on roads and in vehicles and Human factors all focused on mobility. Within the theme Urbanisation TNO strives to help solve the mobility problems in the Netherlands and abroad using state of the art knowledge and technology. Automation of transport with all its relevant aspects is one of the prime aspects being addressed.
TNO are co-ordinating the Dirizon project and leading Work Packages 1, 3 and 6.
ROD:
Roughan & O’Donovan Innovative Solutions (ROD-IS) brings a wealth of experience in CEDR and EU-wide research projects as both co-ordinator and partner. ROD-IS is a subsidiary of Roughan & O’ Donovan (ROD), one of Irelands largest civil and structural engineering consultancies. ROD-IS also has significant experience in working directly with NRAs in the deployment and management of their ITS and other assets along with a deep understanding of the data required to facilitate efficient/automated management and operation of the road network. Combining this commercial and research expertise, ROD will lead WP2 (NRAs and Digitalisation) and WP8 (Outreach to Parallel Initiatives and Dissemination) in Dirizon.
AustriaTech:
AustriaTech is the “Mobility Agency” of the Austrian Ministry of Transport, Innovation & Technology and it follows a long-term strategy towards sustainable transport– and mobility services and solutions, like Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) and e-mobility. The federal company works in partnership with Austrian infrastructure operators, mobility service providers, and industry, as well as research facilities and public authorities.
Within DIRIZON AustriaTech will bring in this expertise related to digitalisation, connectivity and automated driving and will lead the work packages related to the “Views of Other Stakeholders” (WP4) and the development of recommendations regarding the “Step by Step Transition Towards Full Digitalisation of the Road Network” WP7.
AlbrechtConsult:
AlbrechtConsult is an independent consultancy and has qualified as a specialist for all aspects of Intelligent Transport Systems and Services, from the conventional ITS world, via cooperative ITS towards cooperative, connected and automated mobility (CAM), and has gained a reputation on national and European level. Furthermore, AlbrechtConsult is also a specialist in the field of the development of standards for intelligent transport systems and services (OCIT, OTS, DATEX II as well as standards for cooperative intelligent transport systems) and in the field of the architecture of intelligent transport systems and services (ITS framework architecture, ITS reference architectures and ITS system architectures).
AlbrechtConsult are Work Package 5 leaders.
HERE Technologies:
HERE, a developer and provider of cloud-based mapping services, enables versatile real-time applications and solutions for consumers, vehicles, businesses and cities. Behind HERE is a consortium of leading car manufacturers. Based on its digital maps and technology, HERE offers products and solutions in these three business areas: automotive, enterprise and end customers. The HERE maps are integrated into in dash vehicle navigation systems of approximately 80% of motor vehicles in Europe and North America. These enable functions such as turn-by-turn navigation, speed warnings or the display of real-time traffic information.
HERE is involved in the Dirizon project as an associated partner.
